Restaurant Prima Taiping

A crowded place offering various types of food. From noodles to rice to skewers like satay for you to explore. We had the fried kuey teow which was decent with good wok hei, satay was really good especially the peanut sauce, springy wan tan mee which was my kids favourite. We managed to get a place inside the restaurant to avoid the rain. Good food for those who would like to try various things.

Having a very delicious lunch at Restaurant here, especially the Chicken Rice. we continuely 2 days come here for this Chicken rice , and take away whole Chicken back to our place for Dinner. really delicious ! you guy should come here and try it yourself! Sam's Chicken Rice

Cooling outdoor food haven for food lover especially at night. Reasonable price, great food, many choices. Unless you have a big group of people to order and try out all varieties, you will need a few visits to finish tasting all the food!

This is the place which sells various local delicacies. Satay is pretty ok. The char kway tiao is also nicely cooked.

Pork satay was the best that we had, it was marinated slightly sweet, but flavourful. The green chili sauce goes pretty well with this pork satay too! Chicken satay was decent too, not as flavourful as the pork satay, but the peanut sauces accomplished it very well as well. The char kuey teow was okay too, less greasy, just not as flavourful as the others. We also tried the nasi lemak, which was great too! Spicy kicks on point! The drinks are at reasonable price. This would be a good place to replenish your energy, with food choices.

There are many coffee shops in and around Taiping, Prima being one of the more popular ones due to popularity of some of the stalls here. I've had alfresco dining in the evenings as well, but since the pandemic struck, that's been taken off. Parking is not quite easy, but a few rounds should get you a spot quite near to the place. It's located along the busy Jalan Kota, which is Taiping's main thoroughfare and is just a short walk away from the museum and the famous lake gardens. Some of the offerings here are more popular than others, namely the Chicken Rice, the Wantan Mee, The Nasi Lemak and also you can get some Chinese rice dumplings here (369) which is quite famous. It's quite a large coffee shop by regular standards and so seating is never really a problem. You are assured of a cheap and delicious meal here while doing your sightseeing!
